I had no expectations for this rum. I didn't know anything specific about it before tasting it, but I was happy to see that a sample bottle was available. With this sentence I listed all its positives.
Origin: Panama
Alcohol content: 40% v/v
Age: 5 years
Sugar content: n/a
Color: golden
Nose: fruity, apple, citrus, Riesling, slightly petrol, later vanilla
Palate: sweet, thin, peach, cake, sweet biscuit, cheap honey candy, caramel
Aftertaste: short, only the alcohol flavor lingers longer
The aroma of the glass when empty: cardboard, lemon juice, apple pie

Seriously! A plastic bottle? I understand that it's half a deciliter, and a tasting amount, but still! If someone else can give out a sample in a glass bottle, why can't they? But I'm not so strict, let's move on. The smell is appealing after a little airing. At least for those who like the smell of petrol. Obviously, you don't have to think of the fuel can here, those who had mature Riesling will know what I mean. The taste, however, is not much, rather sweet. There are also many kinds of sweets, but the selection here is not very wide. I don't want to waste many words on it, I already listed them above. I'm curious how much the plastic dissolved by the alcohol modified the taste. In any case, I hope I didn't ingest too many phthalates.

I tasted it - so you don't have to!
